Bonnie L. (Ferrell) Sheets

Bonnie L. Sheets, 80, of Sonestown and formerly of Hughesville, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Muncy.

Born January 24, 1945 in Sonestown, she was a daughter of the late Homer L. and Thelma M. (Boatman) Ferrell.  She was married to Clair Sheets until his passing on December 5, 1984.

Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Sullivan County High School.  She worked as a secretary of Sonestown High School, and also worked at Bucktail Bank in Hughesville and Picture Rocks.  Later she worked and retired from Highlands Nursing Home in Laporte.

She enjoyed flowers and crafting.  Bonnie loved watching NASCAR with the boys.

Bonnie is survived by two sons: Adam L. Sheets, and Clair E. Sheets Jr., both of Sonestown; two daughters:  Angela R. Shultz and her husband Robert, of Benton, and Crystal M. Lavigne and her husband Marcus of Florida; three grandchildren:  Michael, Matthew Shultz and Megan Lavigne; one brother: Colin Ferrell and his wife Mary, of Nevada; and two sisters: Shirley Bender, of Akron, PA and Lucille A. Buck, of Hughesville.

There will be a graveside service held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 20, at Picture Rocks Cemetery.
