Dale W. Peterman

Dale W. Peterman, 92, of Muncy Valley, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born October 12, 1931 in Muncy Valley, he was the son of the late Leo and Arvilla (Warburton) Peterman.  On April 6, 1952 he married the former Phyllis A. Wrede and together they celebrated 71 years of marriage, until her passing on April 14, 2023.

Dale served honorably in the US Army, during the Korean Conflict.  He was of Methodist Faith, and was self-employed most of his life.  He was a member of Sonestown American Legion Post 601, the Masonic Lodge 163 in Monroeton, Scottish Rite in Williamsport, and the Muncy Valley Moose Lodge 866.

Dale is survived by his two sons:  Michael D. Peterman and his wife Debbie, of Laporte, and Steven G. Peterman and his wife Kim, of Muncy Valley; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers:  Larry C. Peterman, of Picture Rocks, and Clair “Pete” Peterman, of Palm Springs, CA; and three sisters:  Donna Macarevich, of Phoenixville, Lanna Jean Ottenheimer, of Muncy Valley, and Diane Peterman, of Hughesville.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers:  Neil, Terry “Butch”, Tony, Lee Wayne, and Jerry Peterman.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions in his memory be made to the Sonestown American Legion, 1433 Champion Hill Road, Muncy Valley, PA 17758.
