Ethan Hollis passed away on May 29, 2021. Born on February 12, 1997 in Charleston, W. Va. Ethan was the son of proud parents Diane Hollis of Williamsport, and Garry Hollis of Muncy, and Brother to his beloved sister, Torrey Lauermann (Anson) of Linglestown.
A graduate of Hughesville High School, Hughesville, Ethan enjoyed hiking and spent considerable time at Worlds End State Park as well as Rickets Glenn near his home in Pa. Ethan loved being in and near the creeks and streams of Central Pa. and like most young adults he gravitated to computers as he got older. He enjoyed surfing the internet, often with his beloved cat AC, sitting in his lap as he did so.
Ethan was so very special and loved by many, educating his community about those with special needs in a way that only he could, by simply being himself. We’re all the same, some of us just face more challenges than others. He embraced those challenges with a courage, determination and willpower that was an inspiration to see.
Ethan is survived by his mother, Diane Hollis; Father, Garry Hollis; and adored sister, Torrey Lauermann (Anson); as well as Grandparents, Sharon and Tony Brustoski. 15 Aunts and Uncles as well as 24 cousins.
A celebration of Ethan’s life and an exchange of hugs will take place at a later date.
Having spent innumerable days at Ronald McDonald House during Ethan’s early years the Family asks that memorials be directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio, 141 W. State Street Akron OH 44302.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughesville Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc, 5069 Route 220 Hwy, Hughesville. www.hughesvillefuneralhome.com
