January 27, 1946 ~ February 11, 2022 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Gary Craft Obituary

Gary Michael Craft, age 76, of Ticklish Rock Road, Hughesville, Sullivan County, died February 11, 2022, at UPMC Muncy Valley Hospital due to complications of COVID pneumonia.

He was born on January 27, 1946, the oldest son of the late Jack and Gene (Botsford) Craft of Rock Run Road and Sonestown, Sullivan County.

He was a proud graduate of the last class at Sullivan County High School in Sonestown in 1963.

He married the love of his life, Nancy L. Stackhouse, of Glen Mawr, on June 15, 1965.

He retired from Andritz Sprout Bauer where he worked for several decades.  He was an avid hunter and conservationist.  He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, National Wild Turkey Federation and the North Mountain Sportsmen Association.  He was a shooting coach for the Sullivan County Shooting Sports Team and the Sullivan County 4-H program.  He enjoyed feeding the local deer herd, just like his father before him.  

He is survived by his son, David Craft, and his wife Cherie of Ticklish Rock Road, Sullivan County and his beloved grandchildren Morgan Craft and her husband Nick Boerboon of Hellertown, PA, Ethan Craft and his wife Natalie of Glen Mawr and Dylan Craft of Rock Run Road.  He is also survived by his brother Jack Craft, and his wife Deb of Sonestown, and his sisters, Ruth Moore and her husband Gary, and Robin Beilman and her husband Bob, both of Rock Run Road, Hughesville and Nancy Craft of Sonestown.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in April of 2016 and his infant brother, Randy.

In respect of Gary’s wishes, there will be no public services.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Sullivan County Shooting Sports Team at 25 Ticklish Rock Road, Hughesville, PA  17737 or to the Point Bethel Community Fund at 165 Point Bethel Road, Hughesville, PA  17737.
