Gladys M. Dieter

Gladys M. Dieter, 78, of rural Muncy, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born October 26, 1944 in Glen Mawr, Lycoming County, she was the daughter of the late Parvin and Lottie (Edkin) Chestnut.

She was a 1962 graduate of Hughesville High School and had worked at the former GTE, Sylvania, Litton Industries, and the former Bon Ton store at the Lycoming Mall.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee and her pet cats, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her companion, John G. Dieter of Muncy; a son, Jeff L. Dieter and his wife Ricki of Muncy Valley; a daughter, Kimberly A. McHenry and Rob of Muncy; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Joyce Fry and her husband Arthur of Montoursville.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a granddaughter, Balyn McHenry.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.  The family will be having a family dinner to celebrate her life at a later date.
