Gwendolyn J. "Gwen" (Wolf) Bower

Gwendolyn J. Bower, 62, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, surrounded by her family at the home of her sister, Gloria and Brian.   

Born September 9, 1961 in Williamsport, Gwen was the daughter of Donna J. Kurtz, of Hughesville and the late Eugene S. Wolf, Jr. 

Gwen was a 1979 graduate of Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, Florida and later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Williamsport Area Community College (Penn College).  Gwen was a waitress at several local establishments and was a floral designer at Nevills Flowers in Montoursville. 

Gwen was a very active member of Warrensville Community Church.  Gwen loved the Blues Festival, Fairs, playing cards, yard sales and going thrift shopping.  Most of all Gwen enjoyed her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; as well as her entire family and friends. 

In addition to her mother, Donna, Gwen is survived by her two sisters: Gloria J. Wolf and her companion Brian G. Walsh, of Muncy, and Gail J. Rupert, of Montgomery; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a large extended family and friends. 

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, Gwen requested that donations be made in her memory to Warrensville Community Church, 5748 Warrensville Rd., Williamsport PA 17701, or to Gram and Pap Lundy Memorial Grove of Warrensville, c/o Eric Wise, 121 Katie Lane, Montoursville, PA 17754.
