Jack L. McClintock

Jack L. McClintock, 65, of Muncy Valley, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his home.

Born September 21, 1955 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Max G. and Patricia J. (Stiger) McClintock.  On August 15, 1992 he married the former Mary L. Houseknecht and they have celebrated 28 years of marriage.

He attended Hughesville High School and was self-employed in the logging and lumbering business, and most recently a stone quarry in the Muncy Valley area.  His first attempt in having a business was making cinnamon toothpicks to sell at school.

Jack had a very strong work ethic and loved to work.  He often told others “I can’t wait to wake up in the morning to go back to work”, as he loved what he did.  He built an airstrip for George Jenkins (Merritt Field) near Eagles Mere that brought him great pride.

He was a social member of the Sonestown American Legion and lifetime member of the North Mountain Sportman’s Club.  He was an avid golfer, loved hunting, and was a great card-player, especially a good game of Poker.

Surviving besides his wife, Mary L. McClintock, are his children:  Lisa McClintock and her husband Logan Snyder of Muncy; Eric McClintock of Hughesville; Tony McClintock and his wife Katy, and Jackie McClintock, all of Muncy Valley; six grandchildren: Ethan, Evan, and Ava Snyder, and Ella, Henry, and Violet McClintock; and a sister, Jean M. Waldon and her husband Denny of Milton.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was a brother, Robert G. McClintock.

Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering to celebrate his life from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Sonestown American Legion.  Please come and share your favorite stories.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
