Jeffrey D. Harriman, 64, of Muncy Valley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born November 14, 1959 in Muncy, he was the son of Sylvan and Nannie (McDonald) Harriman of Sonestown. He was married to the former Cathy I. Gordner for over 40 years.
He was a 1978 graduate of Sullivan County High School and had been employed at the Benton Foundry, and Peterman Lumber. He had been a truck driver, driving from coast to coast, and most recently was a self-employed logger.
He coached Little League Baseball earlier in life, enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family watching his granddaughters compete in various horse events and his grandson race 4-wheelers.
Surviving besides his parents of Sonestown, and Cathy Harriman of Hughesville are two sons: Casey Harriman and his fiance Emma Byler of Sonestown; and Cody Harriman and his wife Florence of Northumberland; a daughter, Katie R. Wert and her fiance Brian Klock of Unityville; five grandchildren: Rowdy J., Peyton L., and Jacie L. Harriman, Mallory Myers, and Miranda Wert; six brothers: Sylvan "Bud" Harriman of Florida, Steve Harriman of Duncannon, Barry Harriman of Muncy Valley, Terry Harriman of Alaska, Scott Harriman of Forksville, and Darren Harriman of Sonestown; two sisters: Debra Copp of Muncy Valley, Cynthia Sones of Sonestown.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ted Copp in 2023.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from noon to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Hughesville Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, Inc., 5069 Route 220 Highway, Hughesville with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. James W. Bechtel of Rock Run Church - Assemblies of God, Muncy Valley.
