John G. Dieter

John G. Dieter, 79, of rural Muncy, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at UPMC, Williamsport.

Born November 30, 1944 in Hillsgrove, he was the son of the late William and Marian (Casson) Dieter.

He was a 1962 graduate of Sullivan County High School and worked at E. Keeler Company in Williamsport until retirement.

John enjoyed bike riding, mowing grass, watching westerns and loved keeping a clean car. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Surviving are a son, Jeff L. Dieter and his wife Ricki of Muncy Valley; and a daughter, Kimberly A. McHenry and Rob of Muncy; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his companion, Gladys M. Dieter who died October 6, 2023; a great-granddaughter, Balyn McHenry; a brother, Bill Dieter; and two sisters, Shirley and Birdie.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.  The family will be having a family dinner to celebrate his life at a later date.
