Julia C. "Judy" (Houseknecht) Bitler

Julia C. "Judy" Bitler, 83, of Picture Rocks, passed away peacefully Friday, November 10, 2023.

She was the wife and best friend to Marlin P. Bitler, who preceded her in death July 15, 2023, and a loving and dedicated mother to Amy Louise Bitler of Picture Rocks and Lee Renata Bitler of New Cumberland.   Also surviving are a brother and his wife, Edward and Melanie Houseknecht in Texas.

Judy graduated from Sonestown High School and West Chester State Teacher's College.  She owned and operated the Muncy Valley Inn earlier in life, and more recently owned and operated Judy's Kitchen and Motel in Picture Rocks until retiring.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a sister, Sandra M. Bitler.

On Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM, she will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville, privately for family members only.
