Kelly Ann Franklin, 54, of Dushore, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with her loving husband by her side.


Born September 1, 1969 in Sayre, she was a daughter of James and Theresia (McLaughlin) Franklin. On August 1, 2020 she married Joseph F. Longmore, Jr. and together they celebrated 4 years of marriage.


Kelly was a graduate of Tioga Central High School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Mansfield University and Master’s degree from Shippensburg University. She retired from Adelphoi, Latrobe as the Admissions Liaison. 


She was a member of the American Cancer Society, and Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post#996, Dushore. 


Kelly was the type of person to always come to the aid of those in need, volunteering for various local organizations, as well as being a loyal friend. 


She enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, and time spent with her various circles of friends, both professionally and personally. She was very loved and will be missed. “I believe that tears can heal, that memories can comfort, that love lives on forever.”


In addition to her parents, James and Theresia Franklin, of Sayre, Kelly is survived by her husband, Joe, of Dushore; a brother, Doug Franklin and his wife Dee Vang, of Strabane, PA; and two nieces, Maria and Xoey Franklin. 


A memorial service will be held 10AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Valley United Methodist Church, 1906 US-220, Muncy Valley, with Pastor John Neiswender, officiating.
