In 1966 he enlisted in the US Navy serving honorably and was attached to the US Marine Corp. He was the owner and operator of his own fire equipment sales and service company.
He was a lifetime member of the Picture Rocks Fire Department, a member of SME, and was also a member of the Picture Rocks Borough Council for over 20 years. Larry enjoyed model trains, fire trucks, and hunting.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his one son: Douglas E. Nunn and his wife Ronda, of Picture Rocks; two daughters: Susan E. Earl and her fiancé Jesse Wise, of Lewisburg and Debra K. Bowes and her husband Steven, of Montoursville; two grandchildren: Sarah Earl, of Avon Park, FL, and Cody Earl, of Picture Rocks; four step-grandchildren: Kristine Gardner, of York, Kimberly Lindsey, of Cannon City, CO, Karen Watkins, of Oswego, NY, and Michele Hite, of Picture Rocks; and twelve step-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by in-laws, Donald and Erma Bryson.
There will be a viewing held from 9 to 10 AM on Friday, Feb. 10, at Hughesville Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 5069 Route 220 Hwy, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Larry Leland, Faith United Methodist Church, officiating.
