Linda B. (Brown) Oden

Linda B. Oden, 66, of Muncy, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at ManorCare – North, Williamsport, surrounded by her family.

Born January 9, 1953 in Muncy-Creek Twp., she was the daughter of the late Newton and Mae (Laird) Brown.  On April 8, 1972, she married Alan L. Oden in the old Methodist Church on Market Street in Muncy, being the last couple to be married in the church.  Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage.

Linda was a 1970 graduate of Muncy High School and a 1972 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College.  She worked as an LPN and later as an instructional aide at Muncy Elementary School. The highlight of her career was teaching students with Autism how to read.

She enjoyed crocheting angels, doing crafts, and collecting tea pots.  Most of all Linda cherished all the time she spent with her grandchildren; especially teaching them how to play any new game.

In addition to her husband, Alan, she is survived by her son: Raymond Oden and his wife Shannon, of Drexel Hill; two daughters:  Sandy Hann and her husband Chris, and Toni Wilson-Prentiss and her husband Michael, both of Muncy; and her grandchildren:  Erica, Wyatt, Eli Oden; Chase Wilson;  Vivian, Jade, Gabby Fenstermacher;  Alexa and Simon Hann.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes the services will be held at the convenience of the family.
