Mildred A. "Tootie" (Bower) Harner

Mildred A. "Tootie" Harner, 85, of the Pennsdale Area, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Wolf Run Village, Hughesville.

Born January 8, 1940, in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn (Usmer) Bower.  She was married to Harry R. "Dick" Harner and together they celebrated 45 years of marriage until his passing on May 19, 2007.

She was a 1958 graduate of Williamsport High School.  Over the years she worked at Tiffany's Parlor, Fry's Auction Hall, she also helped at Muncy Grade School and many other local businesses in need.  Tootie was a very active member of Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers and traveling.  Most of all Tootie cherished all the time spent with her family and friends.

Survived are her son: Kenneth V. Harner, of Whittier, Calif.; two daughters: Melinda K. Orr and her husband Tim, of Muncy, and Ann E. Copeland, of Montgomery; seven grandchildren: Jessica, Adam, Angela, Alexis, Austin, Lauren, and Leland; two great-granddaughters: Abby and Stella; one brother: Kenneth Bower and his wife, Katherine, of Texas; and one step-sister: Alice Hawke and her husband Ray, of Harrisburg.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Mark A. Harner.

There will be a celebration of life service held at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 22, at Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Rd, Pennsdale.
