Patricia "Trish" Kitchen Obituary

Patricia Diane Kitchen (née Bryan), born July 31st, 1956 (68) returned home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 4, 2025 after a difficult, but courageous, battle with an aggressive cancer.

In her younger years Patricia was known to most as Patty, but later in life preferred to be called Trish. Trish enjoyed canning, crafts, and curating items for her beautifully decorated home. She loved animals of all kinds, spending lots of time watching deer and turkeys from her deck and caring for cats and dogs, especially her "adopted" stray cat, Oscar, and her "fur babies", her dogs Dottie and Foxy.

Trish attended Tivoli United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking for church events; even ones she could not attend. Trish was a fierce and loyal, someone who loved her friends and family deeply, but loved none so much as she loved God.

The family would like to say a special thanks to all who helped care for Trish over these past few months. From the doctors, nurses, staff, and helpers at Geisinger Danville, Bloomsburg, and Muncy, to the nurses at the Gardens at Millville, Trish received excellent, compassionate care.

We would especially like to acknowledge all those who helped us care for Trish when she came home on hospice, including hospice nurses Courtney, Kelly, and Brittany, and family and friends Joyce, Holly, Becky, Carl, Sue, Corliss, Megan, and Carol. We are forever grateful for your gifts of time and love when Trish needed them most.

We would also like to thank Pastor Kathy of Tivoli United Methodist Church and her husband Pastor Jim for their visits with Trish in the hospital and at home, helping Trish along her spiritual journey.

Trish was preceded in death by her father: Emerson Bryan; and her grandparents: Emory and Dorothy Bryan, and Walter and Fannie Rung.

Trish is survived by her mother: Lula Bryan; sisters: June Twigg (née Bryan) (Steve), and Cindy Parks (née Bryan) (John); brother: Mark Bryan (Lorraine); and her husband John Kitchen.

A small service and celebration of Trish's life will be held at Hughesville Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc, 5069 Route 220 Hwy, Hughesville, on May 31st at 1:00 pm.
