Shirley Walters

Shirley Walters, 82 ,of Muncy, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Heritage Springs Memory Care.

Born January 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Corabel Heddings Millheim and stepdaughter of the late Robert Millheim.  She and her husband, Theodore "Ted" Walters recently celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, antiques, and dachshunds, but most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.  Her greatest tragedy in life was the untimely death of her son, Dr. Rick Walters in 2015 to glioblastoma.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cameron L. Myers and husband John of Hughesville; grandsons Zachary Poust and wife Waki of Farmington, NY; Kyle Poust of Hughesville; Matthew Myers and Daulton Myers, both of Hughesville; and granddaughter Kacie Walters of New Tripoli.  Shirley also leaves behind her best friend from childhood and throughout her life, Judy Stugart of Hughesville.

In keeping with her wishes, all services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's name to the Dr. Rick Walters Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O the East Lycoming Education Foundation, 349 Cemetery Street, Hughesville, PA  17737.
