Steven D. Tetreault

Funeral Director / Owner / Supervisor/Certified Crematory Operator

Steven was raised in Champlain, NY and graduated from  Herkimer County Community College and Simmons School of Mortuary Science in Syracuse. He has been a licensed funeral director since 1984.  He and his wife, the former Julie Brooks, were classmates at mortuary school and were married in Turbotville in December 1983. 

Steve completed an internship with McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home in Hughesville after relocating to Pennsylvania, and was employed there for ten years before he saw the opportunity to own the 220 Pit Stop.   

He has also owned and operated Hughesville Monument Company for over twenty-five years, specializing in unique, personalized granite memorials. He offers a full line of Barre granite products, including cremation niches and granite benches, cremation urns, and also a full selection of bronze plaques.

In 2016 he sold the Pit Stop to devote his time and attention to funeral service thru his newly constructed crematory and his monument company in Hughesville.

Steve was a funeral director, along with his wife Julie and son, Sean,  at their family owned funeral home --  Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC, of Turbotville and Watsontown until opening Hughesville Funeral Home and Cremation Services in January 2020.

He resides in Hughesville and has two children and three granddaughters.

Sean Tetreault is a 2006 graduate of Hughesville High School and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry in 2010 from Lebanon Valley College.  In 2015 he graduated from McAllister Institute of Mortuary Science and completed an internship at his parents' funeral home, Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, in Turbotville and Watsontown.  He has been a licensed funeral director since 2016 and is also a Certified Crematory Operator.

Sean played football throughout his high school and college years and played professionally for two years with the arena football league in the Lehigh Valley area.  

Currently he is the head football coach of the Muncy Indians and resides in Turbotville with his wife Rae-Ellah and their dog Forest.


Julie Brooks Tetreault

Julie Brooks Tetreault is a native Turbotville and graduated from Warrior Run High School.  She attended the former Williamsport Area Community College and graduated from Simmons School of Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY.  She served her internship under the direction of Richard G. Thomas at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home in Hughesville in the early 1980's and has been a licensed funeral director since 1984.

She married Steve Tetreault, a classmate from mortuary school, in 1983.

She has been a funeral director at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PC which was previously owned by her father.  

Brooks Funeral Home operates locations in both Turbotville and Watsontown.

She and her husband have two children, Stephanie (Travis) Doebler and Sean (Rae-Ellah) Tetreault, and three granddaughters.

Bob is a graduate of Warrior Run High School and served honorably in the US Marine Corp.  He retired from the US Federal Penitentiary, Lewisburg. 

He resides in Turbotville with his wife, Donna.



Stephanie Doebler

Office Assistant

Stephanie is Steve and Julie's daughter and works part-time assisting with general office and bookkeeping work.

She is a graduate of Hughesville High School and holds a Master's Degree in Education from Wilkes University.  She is married to Travis Doebler and they have three daughters,  Allison, Amelia, and Anne.  

She and her family reside in rural Hughesville.
